Costal Road Incident - March 11, 1978

On March 11, 1978, 11 heavily armed terrorists took over a bus in center of Israel. Several SF and regular units, including YAMAM and Sayeret MATKAL, arrived to the scene and launched an uncoordinated attack on the bus. In the end of the raid 35 hostage were killed, making this incident one of the worst terror attacks in Israel's history. Nine of the terrorists were killed, while the remaining two terrorists were captured alive.

The bus catches fire due to the heavy cross fire.

One of the dead terrorists is disarmed and checked for explosives charges after the raid by a MAGAV officer.
